Visit I Madonnari this weekend!

I Madonnari is a street painting festival that happens each Memorial Day weekend in Santa Barbara and a wonderful opportunity for students to see artists in action! The plaza in front of the Santa Barbara Mission is transformed using pastels on pavement to create beautiful large scale images. Laguna Blanca sponsors a yearly square, this year being created by our high school art students. Other families are encouraged to have their children try this art form in the Young Artists section by sponsoring a 2’x2’ square. The cost is $12, which includes a box of chalk pastels they may keep, and several classmates or siblings can work together on one square.  Festival hours are 10-6 daily and admission is free.
