On Thursday, our class (along with the fifth grade class) had the opportunity to take a field trip to the Ridley-Tree Education Center to experience the Carousel of Physics created by the Engineering Academy at Dos Pueblos. This was a collaborative project between the Santa Barbara Museum of Art and the D.P. Engineering Academy. We began the trip with a slide show on the artist, Moholy Nagy. Next, students had the opportunity to create a piece of art inspired by the ideas of Moholy-Nagy. Finally, students experienced the Carousel of Physics!
